Trees
for the Environment
This
unit of work for schools is available for teachers, as part of the
Taranaki Regional Councils environmental education programme.
The
unit highlights the value of trees in our environment. The information
provided and activities suggested will only cover a small range of
the possibilities available for a tree study and will
largely
concentrate on how trees are used by the Taranaki Regional Council
to enhance the environment. Links to the NZ Curriculum documents are
provided to assist teachers to track student progress.
