Trees for the Environment

This unit of work for schools is available for teachers, as part of the Taranaki Regional Council’s environmental education programme.

The unit highlights the value of trees in our environment. The information provided and activities suggested will only cover a small range of the possibilities available for a tree study and will largely concentrate on how trees are used by the Taranaki Regional Council to enhance the environment. Links to the NZ Curriculum documents are provided to assist teachers to track student progress.
