- Slender shrub or small tree with stout, upright branches
- Thin oblong leaves with a pointed tip and slightly wavy margins
(70-100 mm x 30-45 mm)
- Clusters of flowers and young stems are often purple tinged
- Red/orange oval fruit (7-8 mm long) are abundant along the short
branchlets
