above sea level), Mt Taranaki/Egmont
- Up to 1050 metres

| Description: |
- Twiggy shrub or small tree with a wide angled, spreading, intertangled
branches (divaricating), the branches are grooved and hairy when
young
- Small (5-20 mm x 3-8 mm), leathery leaves with smooth margins
and a soft white/cream dense mat of hairs underneath (tomentum)
- Small flowerheads consisting of 6-8 flowers (individual flowers
9mm across), sweetly scented, flowering October to January
