between 1100 metres and 1400 metres above sea level

| Description: |
- Similar to the introduced broom
- Green branchlets 1-3 mm wide perform the functions of the leaves
- Leaves made up of 3-5 leaflets, each 8 x5 mm
- Flowers are white to pale purple
- Seed pods are black, 9-11mm long x 4-6 mm wide, enclosing usually
4 orange-red seeds 2 mm in diameter
