- Becomes more prominent at the upper altitudes
of the scrub zone on Mt Taranaki/Egmont

| Description: |
- Shrub with erect or spreading branches
- The grooved branches are covered in a yellow sticky wool
- Leathery leaves (5-12 mm x 1-2 mm) with sticky brown hairs on
the undersurface
- Dense flower heads are 25 - 40 mm across with 8 - 15 florets,
flowering from December to April
