Where found:

  • Montane, damp seepages and hollows. Common in Ahukawakawa Swamp.
Description:
  • A sedge with coarse tufts, 400-600 mm tall, from a creeping rhizome
  • Yellow green leaves (1 x 2 mm) are double folded and harsh
  • Leaves die down in winter
