Where found:
  • Sea level to 1100m
  • Open places along stream sides, hillcountry, roadsides and stable slip faces, prefers well drained soils with good moisture
Description:
  • Spreading shrub with fibrous root system.
  • Willow-like leaves, 5 to 12.5 cm long by 1.6 to 2.5 cm wide, lance shaped, green above, dull or pale beneath.
  • White or sometimes pale bluish flowers, 7.5 to 15 cm long and 2.5 cm in diameter. Flowers December to March, propagated easily by cutting and seed. Seed ripe in late May and early June.
  • Yellow-green bark.
  • Tolerance: salt-moderate, wind-moderate, drought-moderate, frost-moderate, waterlogging-low.
