  • Lowland to montane forest
  • Up to 900 metres
Description:
  • An upright, round headed tree with a trunk up to 1.2m diameter
  • Thick, leathery, shiny green opposite leaves with blunt serrated margins (3-10cm x 2-4cm), the undersides are a light colour, juvenile leaves have three leaflets and new leaves are reddish coloured
  • Small white to pale pink flowers clustered on flower stalks up to 12cm long, the buds are reddish, flowering during spring, summer and autumn
  • Reddish coloured dry capsules
  • Bark is greyish and smooth with white blotches
  • Preferred food of possums
