Where found:

  • Sand dunes and coastal cliffs
Description:
  • Leaves are fleshy and shining, kidney shaped, 2-5 cm in diameter on creeping rhizomes.
  • Plants often form large patches or low mounds.
  • The trumpet like flowers are pink and white, similar to the ordinary garden bindweed or convolvulus.
  • Flowers Sept - March. Fruit is a large round capsule containing dark brown seeds
