  • Coastal forest
Description:
  • Tree with stout, spreading branches, trunk up to 300 mm in diameter, plants often low growing and dome shaped in exposed coastal places
  • Fleshy bright green glossy leaves (40-100 mm x 10-30 mm) are dotted with glands, some of the leaves have serrated margins
  • Bisexual flowers 10-15 mm grow in clusters of 2 to 6, the white petals have purple dots on them
  • Pale to dark reddish berries are up to 9mm long
  • Rough brown wrinkled bark
