Where found:

  • Coastal hills and rocky cliffs near the sea
  • Up to 500 metres
Description:
  • Shrub or small tree with stiff, spreading, angled branches, the branches are sticky with yellowish dense matted hairs (tomentum), scented
  • Leaves are leathery, lower surface has yellow tomentum, leaves on young plants are larger (up to 15 mm long) than adult leaves (5-10 mm long)
  • White flowers up to 10 mm across occur singly on short branchlets, flowering from February to April
  • Fluffy seeds, occurring till October
